We provide machine learning-assisted abstract screening services for systematic reviews, including:

• Free Tier: Process up to 450 studies instantly with ML screening
• Professional: Up to 5,000 studies with human QA spot checks (24-48h delivery)
• Comprehensive: Up to 10,000 studies plus full-text extraction and data extraction services (up to 500 full-text extractions)

• Content Rights Warranty: You warrant that you own or have all necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to upload, share, and have us process all materials you provide. This includes ensuring compliance with publisher licenses, institutional agreements, and copyright laws.
• Lawful Content Warranty: All uploaded content is lawful, does not infringe any third-party rights, and contains no malicious code, viruses, or harmful materials.
• Institutional License Compliance: You will not upload paywalled content obtained through institutional subscriptions where licenses prohibit third-party processing, commercial text mining, or redistribution.
• Research Tool Understanding: You acknowledge this is a research assistance tool, not professional advice, and that you are solely responsible for validating all results before use in any publication, decision-making, or systematic review.
• Data Accuracy: You will provide accurate inclusion/exclusion criteria and review all outputs for correctness before relying on them.
• Professional Validation: You will perform appropriate human validation, dual screening, and quality checks per academic standards before publishing or relying on results.

Target: delivery within 24 hours from scope approval and receipt of files. Range: 24–48 hours for complex or large projects; we'll flag during scoping.

You grant Litry a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy and process your files and prompts solely to deliver the services and improve them as set out in the Privacy Policy. For paid work you may opt out of model-training/improvement at any time; opting out does not affect processing needed to deliver your job.

When you use the free tool or submit a paid request, we may collect:

• Contact details: name, email, phone, organization (if provided).
• Uploaded study files (.ris, .nbib, .xml, .csv) and screening criteria you provide.
• Conversation content in the criteria assistant and final criteria text.
• Job metadata such as counts, timestamps, and processing status.
• Technical data: IP address, approximate country (via IP geolocation), and basic usage metrics.

We use this information to operate the service, deliver results, provide support, and improve quality. We retain uploaded materials, criteria, conversations, and outputs to enhance the product and for ongoing operations unless you request deletion. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except service providers under confidentiality and to improve the app using aggregated or anonymized information where possible.

Free tier: uploads and outputs auto-delete after 12 hours.

Paid tiers: we retain project files, prompts and outputs for operations and service improvement. You may (i) request early deletion at any time; and/or (ii) opt out of model-training/improvement, after which your future projects will be excluded. We may retain minimal logs and invoices for legal/operational reasons.

We treat your materials as confidential and use them only to provide the requested services. Please avoid uploading sensitive personal information; keep files to bibliographic content and review‑relevant data.

Processing is automated by default. Staff may access your materials only (i) with your request for support; (ii) to investigate abuse/security issues; or (iii) where required by law.

Do not upload malware or illegal content. Do not upload paywalled PDFs obtained solely via institutional logins where the licence forbids third-party hosting/processing or commercial text/data mining. Only upload content you are licensed to share with Litry for the intended commercial processing. See our Acceptable Use Policy.

If we receive a credible notice that content you supplied infringes rights or is unlawfully hosted, we may suspend access and remove it. Report issues via /takedown. We act expeditiously on valid notices.

This aligns with the UK hosting/notice-and-takedown framework under the e-Commerce Regulations.

We use vetted subprocessors (see /subprocessors) and may transfer data internationally with appropriate safeguards. We will give 30 days' notice of material changes.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect service improvements, legal requirements, or business changes. We will post updated terms with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes that significantly impact your rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice where feasible.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.

Jurisdiction: Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts of [Your Jurisdiction], and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
